CANDIDATE COMPARISON QUESTIONS
Please answer "yes" or "no" to the following questions. The optional explanations will be included in your Individual Candidate Guide.
1 Do you support Oregon taking full financial responsibility for constructing a new bridge over the Columbia River? No
Our US Highway system should be maintained and paid for by mostly Federal Highway dollars.
2 Do you support increasing fuel taxes for needed infrastructure repairs? No
Our largest department in Oregon is ODOT. They should cut the bureaucracy and waste and make do with what they already have.
3 Do you support a change in Oregon's Constitution to use the individual tax kicker to fund education? No
The kicker is my money I over paid. Not Salem's. More money will not help our schools. We need a new approach.
4 Do you support a sales tax in Oregon? No
Absolutely NOT. Oregon's income tax and hidden taxes and fees should be more than enough.
5 Do you support returning Oregon land owned by the federal government to Oregon? (Federal government controls 60% of Oregon's land.) Yes
Definately. This should have happened 30 years ago when the Fed's and Environmentalists locked up our lands.
6 Do you support EPA temporarily closing BLM roads to give time for public hearings and a permanent order? No
BLM lands should have been already given to our State. So, no closing BLM roads.
7 Do you support registration for all privately owned guns? No
This is SB 941 which passed with only Democrat support. What happens when a father wants to give his rifle to his son?
8 Do you support regulations on ammunition as a means to regulate guns? No
NO, it has already been proven not to work. Also, it is a violation of our Second Amendment.
9 Do you support a sheriff's authority to determine which gun regulations violate laws when funding does not permit enforcement? Yes
Yes. Under our Constitution that is a Sheriff's job.
10 Do you support state government taking a more active role in private business? No
Absolutely NOT: Our government is to involved now. We need to get government out of the business of picking winners & losers.
11 Do you support the government identifying emerging growth businesses for subsidies, tax credits and government grants and loans? No
NO, as I mentioned in question #10 our government needs to stop picking winners and losers.
12 Do you support green urban renewal projects backed by public funds? No
  No.
13 Do you support limiting the sale of Oregon farm land to only U.S. citizens? (over 2% is currently owned by foreign countries) Yes
Yes. One of our most precious resources should be kept in the hands of American land owners.
14 Do you support the construction of water storage for crops to replace what was lost with the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement? Yes
Yes, but at what price? Before Oregon starts destroyng reservoirs Salem should already have a solution in place.
15 Do you support the Federal government and FEMA taking control over Oregon Governor's powers in ORS 401.188 in times of emergency? No
No. Only by the request of the Governor should FEMA or the Feds get involved.
16 Do you support the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act allowing the U.S. Military to arrest and detain ANY "suspected" terrorist without trial, legal counsel, or accusation of wrongdoing? No
No, but it depends on citizenship, Visa status, Green Card, etc.
17 Do you support the UN Strong Cities Network sending foreign troops into states to train local enforcement to strengthen community resilience against violent extremism? No
No. The last thing we need in Oregon is the UN sending in foreign troops.
18 Do you support expanding traffic enforcement cameras to the entire state? No
No. The problem is not the car it is the driver. Cameras do not tell us who was driving.
19 Do you support restricting the "emergency clause" in legislation as true emergencies? Yes
Absolutely YES. Since when is having a cat declawed an
20 Do you support a process for impeachment of executive branch officials by state legislators? Yes
Yes, this should have been in Oregon's original State Constitution but it is never to late.
21 Do you support authorizing the Attorney General to conduct a preliminary investigation into alleged violations of ethics or criminal laws to discover cause? Yes
Yes, but as long as Ellen Rosenblum is our Attorney General this will never happen. Even if it is the Law.
22 Do you support a constitutional amendment to require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in Oregon? Yes
Absolutely Yes but then Salem would have to repeal the Motor-Voter Bill.
23 Do you support the direct election of the president by popular vote? No

24 Do you support a primary election where voters of every party can vote to determine the top two candidates regardless of their party affiliation? No
No, because then there will be spoilers and we really will be left with one party rule.
25 Do you support reclassifying hydropower as a renewable resource? Yes
Yes! Hydropower should have been included as
26 Do you support Renew Oregon's proposal to eliminate coal-fired power completely by 2040 to be replaced with wind and solar - not natural gas? No
No! Only if we have a replacement that's as cheap or cheaper. Until then we need to use our natural resources.
27 Do you subscribe to the theory that Oregon's human activity has an impact on carbon emissions affecting global warming? No
Ask a Scientist: As a Scientist the evidence points to the Sun for affecting our planets climate change.
28 Do you support recreational and small business mining in rural Oregon? Yes
Absolutely! Now an Oregon family can not even go out panning for gold as a family adventure. What's next? Camping?
29 Do you support a constitutional amendment to create a fair statewide process to appoint the Superintendent of Public Instruction? Yes
Yes. Remember Rob Saxton? Need I say more? I could but I don't have the space.

Definately Yes! Local Control is nothing without parents rights. These are Our children not the state's

  Yes.
33 Do you support a single-payer health insurance system? No
No, as a Pharmacist that knows our Health Care System a single-payer system is the last thing we want.
34 Will you support legislation and vote to restore legal protection to unborn babies? Yes
Yes. The call to legalize abortion went by the slogan:
35 Do you support spending public funds on abortion services? No
No. For those that support abortion why can't they make donations to fund them as I do with my Church.
36 Do you support requiring all Oregon employers to use the federal E-Verify system to determine the employee's work eligibility status? Yes
Absolutely Yes. This should be the law in Oregon already.
37 Do you support transitioning Oregon to a "Right-to-Work" state in which joining a union would be optional? Yes
  Yes. All the
38 Do you support the First Amendment rights of business owners to run their business in accordance with their religious beliefs? Yes
Absolutely. Folks don't know that an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) is not a judge at all but appointed and employed by BOLI.
39 Do you support ICEI/ICMA or other 2030 Agenda (formerly Agenda 21) organizations contracting with governments, which allows them to make decisions reserved for elected officials? No
No. This should be against the Law here in Oregon also.
NARRATIVE QUESTIONS
The following questions will not appear in the Candidate Comparison Guide, but will be included in your Individual Candidate Guide.
40 How would you ensure the land-use rights of rural Oregon and how would you protect their ability to farm and ranch?
SB 1565 would have been a good start. This bill allows a city or county to adopt exemption in Rural areas for newly constructed or installed industrial improvements with cost of initial investment of at least $1 million. After nearly forty years, no other state in the Union has adopted statewide land use laws. Yet, Oregonians continue to falsely believe these laws are necessary as they currently exist. An entire generation has not been exposed to the freedoms of property rights, so many Oregonians have no comprehension of what could be accomplished without these laws. They see only the dangers of the unknown. Oregon's land use laws are a travesty and must be changed. Hopefully, progress will be made this next legislative session so Oregonians can regain their property rights.
41 How do you weigh environmental protections when it has a negative impact on human survival?
Since the creation of the EPA in 1970 the ten mile stretch of the Willamette River from the Steel bridge to Hayden Island has been on the top ten super fund clean-up sites. The toxic soup on the river bed was placed there by PGE decades ago. Why do we not hear of this with all the environmentalists around? Could it be because US Rep. Earl Blumenauer's wife is a staff lawyer with PGE making a salary of $750,000 per year. I think so. If Oregonian's can live this long with this sort of incompetance then why are some folks worried about environmental protections at all.
42 How would you propose screening war refuges to prevent potential terrorists from entering Oregon with them?
A tough situation and one that pulls at your heart strings but first of all refuges need to have documentation of who they are by supplying a passport, government ID, etc. Without any documentation, unfortunately, I would not allow them refuge. This goes for the Cartell members as well. Then, once inside our country make sure they are assimilated and where they are suppose to be living.
