CANDIDATE COMPARISON QUESTIONS
Please answer "yes" or "no" to the following questions. The optional explanations will be included in your Individual Candidate Guide.
1 Do you support drilling for oil and natural gas on public lands and waters? No
I do not support giving away our resources to private companies. In the future we need to be smart so drilling isn't the answer.
2 Do you subscribe to the theory that human activity has a significant impact on climate? Yes
If you cut down a tree you lose the cooling effect and oxygen production. Stand on concrete and next to a car to feel the effect
3 Do you support a public audit of the Federal Reserve System? Yes
We need to know where our money is coming from and going to. So we don't end up in more trouble than we are now.
4 Do you support banning earmarks? No
They need to be debated on the floor not slipped in to get a vote. Earmarks build infrastructure that builds local economies.
5 Do you support a balanced budget amendment to the Federal Constitution? No
We would never be able to help fellow Americans in times of disasters. We need PayGo back.
6 Do you support a flat tax on income to replace the current income tax? No
We need my "Fair Share Percentage Tax Plan" to balance the budget and end the deficit.
7 Do you support increasing taxes for higher income families? Yes
If George Washington can be one of the largest tax payers then every American and every business can pay their fair share.
8 Does the Federal government have constitutional authority to regulate schools? Yes
To promote the general welfare and insure domestic tranquility. These two promises should establish the bases for regulation.
9 Do you support restrictions on the ownership of guns by law-abiding citizens? No
I do support responsible gun ownership and gun sales. Also the 2nd amendments first four words. A well regulated militia.
10 Do you support the direct election of the president by popular vote? No
The electoral college is so small states don't get pushed around by larger states.
11 Should the Federal government return to the States land it owns for the purposes not authorized by the Constitution? No
It should sell the land to the states if the states want it. Federal land was acquired during manifest destiny.
12 Do you support free trade agreements with foreign nations? No
We need fair trade and fair taxes. We need to keep jobs in America for our youth.
13 Do you support requiring all employers to verify employee eligibility to work in the United States? Yes
This will stop companies from hiring illegal workers and provide living wage jobs for all that have the right to work.
14 Do you support spending public funds to benefit illegal immigrants? Yes
If they are here working then deserve to benefit from their hard work. But companies that hire them should assume the cost.
15 Do you support the Federal "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act"? Yes
Americans get up every morning and go to work for some else creating a profit from that profit they should get healthcare.
16 Do you support preserving Israel's existing borders including occupied territories? No
Giving back occupied land will be a good start to come to the peace table and say this is what I'll do for peace.
17 Do you support using military forces against foreign nations for non-defensive purposes? No
Bush's pre-emptive military action theory just creates resentment and more terrorist around the world making us less secure.
18 Do you support laws that exempt government officials and employees from laws that apply to private citizens. No
Everyone should answer to the same laws since "All men are created equal". Including past/future Presidents to limit their power
19 Do you support spending public funds on abortion services? No
Abortion should be available to women who need the service to save their life, only they can determine what is saving their life
20 Do you support replacing Social Security with private retirement plans for future beneficiaries? No
Since Wall Street isn't making responsible investments now there is no way to trust them with the SS money for investing.
NARRATIVE QUESTIONS
The following questions will not appear in the Candidate Comparison Guide, but will be included in your Individual Candidate Guide.
21 Do you support or oppose sustainable development as defined in U.N. Agenda 21? Why?
I support the concept of sustainable growth. Agenda 21 would be a good thing for countries to become energy independent and make their natural resource sustainable. Food would be in greater supply driving down the cost and creating a healthier population. Trade would increase since tax subsidies and government manipulation would be eliminated creating a more level trading platform. Industrialized countries would still have the advantage in growth over developing countries do the existing infrastructure but wouldn't crush developing countries need to become more self sufficient. This platform would also decrease the chances of war since countries would be more interested in developing their infrastructure because of a level playing field and not envying their neighbors success.
22 If elected, what will your top three legislative priorities be?
My top three priorities will be jobs, taxes and the return of property rights. We need to end the tax breaks and free trade bills that send jobs to foreign countries. We need those jobs for our youth to get so they can move out of their parents houses and expand our economy. We need to put my "Fair Share Percentage Tax Plan" into action to balance the budget and get rid of the deficit. Everyone should pay their fair share for the infrastructure thy need to create a profit. I will start impeachment proceedings for Roberts, Alito, Thomas and Scalia for their "Citizens United" decision because they weren't acting in "Good Behavior" and it didn't hold up the "Law and Equity" portions of the constitution. This will allow President Obama to appoint judges that will over turn Kelo vs New London, Pa. City Council verdict of 2005 and get property rights back for all hard working Americans can be secure in their future and tranquility.
