  1) Prioritize essential services (ie schools, police, prisons, roads, etc) to be funded first before anything else. 2) Cut special projects that do not create jobs, or are unnecessary until this budget shortfall is dealt with. 3) Recognize that our citizens have been taxed enough, we need to deal with the state's spending.

  Not if it costs money to taxpayers. I think many know the answer to this question without spending money on a study
17 What does Oregon's state motto, She Flies with Her Own Wings mean to you? Please explain what you've done, are doing, and will promise to do so its significant meaning is reinforced? (100 words or less)  
  It encapsulates Oregon's founding fathers and their independence, entrepreneurial mindset and desire to to make their own lives out of grit and hard work. I am an entrepreneur who lives those attributes in my own business and my family's life. I believe those same skills need to be in Salem, and I want to take them there.
